Hi!
I played The Connection and I loved it! The story sounds interesting and I like how you structured the dialogs. The torchlight mechanics is nice. Unfortunately, the controls are a little bit fiddly and sometimes I got stuck in the stairs.
I'm not a designer nor I understand much about colors, but I'd like to suggest the following color palette. Hopefully this doesn't sound rude.
Background/fog of war: #4d4d4d
Press Space to continue box background: #2d4947
Dialog box background: #3f5452
Text color: #bdbc92 (maybe a little darker?)
You can see how it looks in this screenshot I modified (don't mind the green outline of the characters, I am still a newbie with graphics software lol). I hope you like it!
Keep up the good work!
Cheers.
Hi @Nico769!
I really appreciate the detailed feedback!
I opened up issues #3, and #4 related to this post. I feel like I'll be sure to experiment with a bunch of different pallets including yours! The dialog GUI has been a mess trying to theme it and give it accessibility at the same time. lol
Happy to help! Yeah, colors are hard lol. I'm experimenting with graphics while learning Godot in my spare time.
Just ping me if you need anything. Good luck with your project! :)
